2017-08-18 Webinar: Status of Online Travel Company Litigation

Scores of municipalities and states have sued on line travel companies (“OTCs”) including Travelocity, Orbitz and Expedia on claims that the OTCs owe and have failed to pay sales tax and lodgers tax on the markup they charge consumers. This webinar will cover background on these claims and an update on the status of the numerous cases that have been considered by state supreme courts around the country, with a special focus on the City and County of Denver’s suit which was recently decided by the Colorado Supreme Court. It will also address the status of Breckenridge’s class action suit against the OTCs.
