Central City Fire Chief Allen, former Lone Tree Mayor Millet named recipients of the 2024 Sam Mamet Good Governance Award

BommerDENVER, Colo. – Thursday, June 27, 2024 –The Colorado Municipal League (CML) announced at the 102nd  CML Annual Conference that City of Central Fire Chief Gary Allen and former City of Lone Tree Mayor Jaqueline Millet were named the recipients of the 2024 Sam Mamet Good Governance Award. The award, established in 2019 and named in honor of retired CML Executive Director Sam Mamet, recognizes individuals who exemplify and strive to promote the principles of good governance. 

“The winners and all of the nominees represent the best of the best when it comes to principles of good governance,” said Kevin Bommer, CML executive director. “The leadership necessary to instill greater levels of civility and commitment to providing accessibility for all to their government shines through in each of the nominees and those selected to receive the Mamet Award.” 2024 Mamet Good Governance - FOrmer Mayor Millet with CML Exec Director K. The award nominations were submitted by CML members and voted on by members of the CML Executive Board. This year, CML received a total of 20 nominations.
