Weinberg is elected secretary/treasurer of CML Executive Board

Laura WeinbergDENVER, Colo. – Tuesday, June 25, 2024 – Golden Mayor Laura Weinberg was elected secretary/treasurer of the Colorado Municipal League (CML) Executive Board in Loveland on June 20 at CML’s Annual Conference. Weinberg will serve a one-year term as secretary/treasurer and represents the Board’s medium-population category.

Weinberg has served as mayor for the City of Golden since 2020. Before being elected mayor, she served the Golden community as a board member and city councilor.

 

Weinberg had a successful management career in technology for the financial services industry, and now, she and her husband are small business owners. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Brown University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver.

 

Weinberg has spent years volunteering in the community for various organizations and represents Golden as an active member on local, regional, and national boards, such as the Metro Mayors Caucus and the National League of Cities Board of Directors. She has served on the CML Executive Board since 2021.

 

The CML Executive Board comprises 21 elected officials and key municipal staff members elected by the membership at an annual business meeting. The Board is responsible for the overall finances, management, and policy affairs of the League.
