Discuss the challenges and ethical considerations facing our municipal courts in an ever-changing legal and political landscape. Hear an update on recent legislative changes, their impact on municipalities, the implementation of best practices across our communities, and the ethical considerations regarding relationships between city councils, municipal judges, city attorneys, and other elected officials. The discussion also will include the use of treatment courts and restorative justice as tools to reduce recidivism in the criminal justice system.
